Blood Motel

In 1981, British director Victor Salzender began production for what would have been his first and only film, Blood Motel (1982).

Due to the low budget of the film, the cast and production crew was largely assembled from members of the public and people of whom Victor and the producers knew through their contacts within the industry.

As it has now become somewhat well documented trail and legend within the film lore of cursed productions, Anthony Anderson who who was working in the films continuity department, was later arrested and charged following the disappearance of the missing lead actress Marianne Shelby, who's remains were discovered after some time at Mr Andersons flat in Surrey.

After the production was dissolved nearing the latter stages of filming, composer contained working on the soundtrack to release as part of a collection of works for unfinished film projects that he had worked on over the years.

Now, for the first time, Blood Motel, the original soundtrack gets the Cinematic Archive restorative treatment, bring the wonderful thematic materials of Blood Motel to the 21st century.

THE HALL OF THE GHOSTLY NINE (1937)

In the winter of 1937, the annual ball for the New Broadmore Council was held in the Alexandre auditorium, which would laterbe dubbed 'The Hall of the Ghostly Nine' following the unfortunate deaths of 9 of the attendees that evening.
Much speculation upon the nature of the events that took place that night have included the rumours of a chemical attack, an assassination attempt and reports of strange electronic frequencies infiltrating the sound equipment that was being used to record that annual ball on a Wednesday evening.
Now, for the first time since its initial recording, The Cinematic Memory Archive presets the original phonographic recording taken by sound recordist James Hanson, that until now has been restricted by New Broadmore City council due to the original police investigations in the weeks following the event.

Due to copyright law surpassing 70 years, after 2014 the recording was released into the public domain, which after 7 years of restoration in collaboration with The North Broadcast, The Cinematic Memory Archive now presets the unprocessed recordings for the first time.

SOMAEK

In the techno-capital city of Somaek, power blackouts and tectonic disturbances reign over the population.

Continious rupturs in linear time by the increased desires to harvest the past have caused an unthinkable tear in the equilibrium between past, present and future.

Particle physicist and head of The Energy Division in the underwater base of Somaek's electrical supply believes that this tear has allowed for a deep history, an order of ancient gods and unthinkable force to the human condition to rise from its ruins that lie below the ocean floor, just beneath the city of Somaek.
